Annual Students & Teacher Painting Exhibition 2016

Over the past 3 years, KA Atelier has had the privilege of teaching and sharing the joy of art and creativity with over 2000 thousands students in both Chinese and Western art . Being exhibited are art works of a group of KA Atelier’s devoted students from all backgrounds and ages, who have committed their time and effort in the past 1-3 years or more to  learning both Chinese painting and Western Painting, with the majority of them with no prior knowledge in painting.

Together on display are paintings of the studio’s artist, founder and teacher -her Chinese paintings are fused with Western modes of expression and  Western paintings fused with Chinese Painting aesthetics, reflective of the unique style and techniques which are being passed onto her students.

On special display are treasured traditional Chinese paintings and art pieces of the late Lingnan artist and respected teacher Mr. Shum Wing Kwong whose style and teachings have inspired the direction, philosophy and purpose of KA Atelier.

ART HOPE Charity Event - "BE" Exhibition

ART HOPE is a non-profit project devoted to creating art for a good cause. It's aim is to raise money specifically for charities that support schools or kids with the focus on bringing inspiration and hope to those in need through art. For our Art Hope 2012 Exhibition, we are proud to have Kids4Kids as our beneficiary charity.

"Be true to your vision and to your heart' Creative Your Life

The idea is to capture the creative spirit of 10 individuals in Hong Kong in order to their true state of being while they are engaging in their chosen creative field or life path. We will attempt to capture this invisible creative spirit by using a series of photos while the artist or creative is at work, to show the transient nature of the outward form and the power of the inner spirit. Using the photo as a source of inspiration, the essence of these will then be transformed into a series of powerful paintings produced by KA.

ART HOPE Charity Event - "HOPE" Exhibition

ART HOPE is a charity project that is devoted to creating art from the heart for a good cause. Art Hope is about giving love, hope, courage and bringing colors and inspirations to children and young adults in the society who lack the means to explore the beauty in the world of creative arts. For our very first charity event, a collection of 8 paintings created by KA will be up for sale. All profits gained from the sale and event entrance fees will be donated to Studer Trust to support the purchase of art suppliers and to sponsor creative arts related courses and scholarships for their school projects in China and South East Asia. The very first Art Hope collection creation by KA is based on the theme 'Hope'. These paintings were created specifically with the Art Hope project in mind and inspired by the blue seas and skies and green hills of travels to Bali, Italy, Canada and China.

Debut Exhibition - Illuminance

This inaugural collection features KA's most penetrating pieces from the Carole's 20 year journey as an artist - breaking beneath the surface of colors and paints to revelations wrought from her inner path to truth, and influenced by far-ranging travels and experiences from Germany to Shanghai. The collection highlights her skill in perfectly melding traditional Chinese painting aesthetics and philosophies with Western modes of expression - KA articulates, with astounding skill and sensitivity, the depths of the human condition - what is to live, to participate and perceive, to connect with your inner consciousness in search of truth. With Carole's unique and inspirational blend of abstract expressionism, symbolism and spiritualism, her paintings beckon us to savor the beauty beyond inner mind, beyond self - in the essence of both light and shadow, being and emptiness, certainty and chaos - in the clarity achieved by unity of heart and mind, balance of the inner and the outer.
